The top figure skaters from across the country will be competing in Wichita this week for the 2025 Prevagen U.S. Figure Skating Championships. The event begins Tuesday and runs through Sunday, January 26th.
U.S. champions will be crowned in Wichita in the women’s, men’s, pairs and ice dance events at both the junior and senior levels. Novice pairs and ice dance will also be contested.
This will be the first time the U.S. Championships will be held in Wichita and in the state of Kansas, and the event is expected to have an economic impact of around $8 million. In addition, NBC has provided more than 40 hours of live coverage across its networks for past championship events.
Visit Wichita president and CEO Susie Santo said, “It has been an honor to host four figure skating events over the last seven years, facilitating a strong relationship with U.S. Figure Skating and giving us the chance to gain the trust and experience needed to host U.S. Figure Skating’s most prestigious event.”
