A new winter storm will be moving into Kansas on Thursday, bringing snow to the Wichita area.
The storm is not expected to be as potent as the system that brought ice and snow to the area last weekend. The strongest part of the storm will sweep through Texas and southeastern Oklahoma, and it is only expected to bring light snow and flurries to Kansas.
KFDI’s weather partners at KWCH Storm Team 12 say south central and southeast Kansas could see one to three inches of snow, while western and north central areas of the state will see a trace to an inch. The storm is expected to have only snow, with no mixed precipitation.
Snow is expected to begin falling in southern Kansas around early to mid-afternoon on Thursday.
