Crews were on the scene of a 3-alarm fire at a northwest Wichita apartment complex Sunday afternoon.
The fire broke out around 3 p.m. at the Marina Point Apartments at 1985 North Amidon. Crews reported seeing flames and they went to defensive operations. A third alarm was called in to get more crews to the scene, and the fire was under control within an hour.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation. Nine residents were displaced by the fire.
