With an increase in seasonal illnesses, the Via Christi hospitals and emergency departments in Wichita have started implementing visitor restrictions.
Visitor restrictions:
- Individuals experiencing cold- or flu-like symptoms are asked to refrain from visiting until 48 hours after symptoms resolve.
- Those who have or recently had COVID-19 should wait 10 days after illness onset before visiting.
- Visitors must be 12 years or older.
Masks:
- Masks are strongly recommended for visitors to all hospitals and emergency departments.
The restrictions have been put in place to protect patients and staff as the number of cases increase for flu and other seasonal illnesses.
