As war rages on in the Middle East, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took the stand yesterday in a corruption trial against him. It marked the first time a sitting Israeli prime minister testified as a criminal defendant.
In his first court appearance, Luigi Mangione, the accused killer of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson, accused law enforcement of planting a key piece of evidence. He says he has no idea where all the cash in his backpack came from, and while the prosecution listed the bag as a Faraday bag, capable of blocking cell signals, Mangione said it was a waterproof bag, not a Faraday bag.
