An investigation is underway after UnitedHealthcare’s CEO was fatally shot outside a New York City hotel Wednesday morning.
Reports said 50-year-old Brian Thompson, who heads UnitedHealthcare’s insurance division, was in the city for a conference at the Hilton Midtown, when he was shot in the chest in front of the hotel just before 7 a.m. local time. Thompson was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, but later died.
