Making a special stop in Erwin, Tennessee, the train brought festive cheer to a community still recovering from Hurricane Helene. Santa Claus himself handed out gift bags and chicken dinners while the historic Clinchfield steam locomotive, dating back to 1902, made quite the impression. This is not just a fancy train ride for Santa; it’s a massive effort to deliver over 15 tons of gifts, toys, winter clothes, and backpacks to families across Kentucky, Southwest Virginia, and Tennessee.
