Police said one person was seriously injured in a shooting Thursday in a south Wichita neighborhood.
The shooting was reported around 11:30 a.m. at a location near Zimmerly and South Waco. Officers were told that two people were confronted by a gunman who tried to rob them. When they tried to run away, one of them was shot.
Police were searching for a suspect.
