Today, the AWESOME is in DuBois, Pennsylvania. Several years ago, Matt Reed of the First Class Children Foundation created the cherished tradition of the KICKS program, ensuring that students in need have comfortable, high-quality shoes to wear. It all began when he learned of a student who came to school with shoes held together by duct tape. A self-proclaimed sneaker enthusiast, he knew he had to do something, and he’s been donating to the cause ever since. That tradition continues today; the school just donated over 120 brand-name shoes for the kids. Turning passion into an act of kindness THAT’S AWESOME.
