Wichita police removed a suspicious device from a south side apartment Monday afternoon.
Officers were called to an apartment complex in the 1000 block of South Woodlawn around 3:30 p.m. The Police Department’s Explosive Ordinance Disposal team was called to the apartment and some residents were evacuated.
The device was safely removed and taken away for disposal. No other details have been released.
