Police caught up with a suspect after an armed robbery Tuesday evening at a Wichita store.
Police spokesman Juan Rebolledo said in a press release that a man walked into a store in the 1300 block of North Oliver around 7:20 p.m. and he brought out a knife, demanding money from a female employee who was working at the cash register. The employee opened the register and the suspect ran off with an unknown amount of cash.
Officers identified a suspect and caught up with him at an east Wichita home. He was taken to police headquarters for questioning and it was learned that he was on parole for a previous aggravated robbery. He was booked into the Sedgwick County jail.
The investigation is continuing and anyone with information on the robbery is urged to contact the Wichita Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 316-267-2111.
