It’s off to London, England, for the AWESOME. It all unfolded quickly and involved a blind man and a shoe. The blind man, assisted by Transport for London (TfL) staff, accidentally tripped while boarding the train. Although kind commuters quickly helped him find a seat, he soon realized one of his shoes had slipped between the platform and the train. As the train departed before anyone could alert the driver, the man became visibly distressed, realizing he was left with only one shoe. That’s when an extraordinary commuter stepped in. Without hesitation, the man removed one of his own shoes and handed it to the blind man, ensuring he was more comfortable for the rest of his journey.
This generous stranger, who asked for no thanks or recognition, exited at Liverpool Street station, barefoot in the biting cold, to find himself another pair of shoes. A fellow passenger shared the story on social media, saying, “I want to share this with other people and let them know there are incredible people in the world! The world is a good place, we all just need to do our bit!”
When strangers are out there “doing their bit,” THAT’S AWESOME!
