Today, the AWESOME is in O’Fallon, Missouri. Jean Wolf’s mother was in hospice, and Jean was handling arrangements. In a hurry, she forgot about her phone and an important folder of paperwork she placed on the trunk of her car. Realizing it was too late, the papers were scattered across the neighborhood streets and on a busy highway. Distraught, Jean thought all was lost. Lucky for her, there was Arnie, who was getting ready for an estate sale. He saw the paperwork and hustled to gather what he could. Seeing an obituary, he knew the papers must be important, so he tracked Jean down through her daughter, and Jean cried tears of joy. When being aware of your surroundings saves the day, and that’s AWESOME.
