Friday was a bittersweet day for Dolly Parton. Friday, her new album, “Smoky Mountain DNA: Faith, Family and Fables,” was released, and on the same day, a member of her family, her brother, died at the age of 82.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Country singer Sundance Head is recovering after he was hit by a stray bullet at his East Texas ranch. The singer, who won season eleven of “The Voice,” was airlifted to a hospital in Tyler on Friday.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Morgan Wallen is breaking another Billboard record. He’s the first artist to earn five number-ones on the Hot Country Songs chart in a single year. “Lies, Lies, Lies” made it to the top of the chart this week.
