After a canvass of votes from the November 5th general election, the results are now official.
The county Board of Canvassers met Monday afternoon to certify the results. The Board originally met Thursday to consider provisional ballots from the election, and they approved 6,047 ballots to be counted, bringing the total ballots cast to 216,621. That is a voter turnout of 62.85 percent for the election. The county has 344,640 registered voters.
The Board had rejected 2,491 provisional ballots for a variety of reasons, including not showing a valid ID or not having a valid registration.
