Former President Donald Trump was leading Kansas with 56 percent of the vote in late returns from the Secretary of State’s Office, with about half of the precincts reporting in from Tuesday’s general election.

Kamala Harris had 43 percent of the vote as ballots were still being counted statewide.

In the congressional races, 1st District Congressman Tracey Mann had 68 percent of the vote, leading Democratic challenger Paul Buskirk, who had 32 percent.

In the 2nd District, former Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt had 55 percent of the vote to lead Democrat Nancy Boyda with 40 percent.

Democratic incumbent Sharice Davids was leading in the 3rd District with 54 percent of the vote to Republican challenger Prasanth Reddy’s 42 percent.

The 4th District race had Republican incumbent Ron Estes with 65 percent of the vote, while Democratic challenger Esau Freeman had 35 percent.
