Today, the AWESOME is in Woodhaven, Michigan. Amy Schmitt did not have the Halloween she had planned. Her son was in the hospital, so she left a note on her front door letting potential trick-or-treaters know that because her son was in the hospital, there wasn’t any candy. She expected a quiet night, but what she got was endless doorbell camera notifications showing kids coming up, reading the note, and then dumping their candy in the basket for her son. One you girl didn’t do it once, she came back a second time with more candy. Amy said this kind of love was overwhelming because she didn’t know half these people. When generosity is oh, so sweet, THAT’s AWESOME.
