Today, the AWESOME is in NYC. The “Big Apple” hit a big milestone by officially reaching its ambitious solar energy goal. It achieved 6 gigawatts of installed solar power, a year before the 2025 target set by a 2019 clean energy law. That’s enough juice to power a million homes. This achievement underscores New York’s position as a leader in distributed solar energy, a concept that includes contributions from individual homes, businesses, and larger solar farms.
