McDonald’s Quarter Pounders are being linked to an E. Coli outbreak across at least ten states, including Kansas.
On Tuesday, the CDC announced they’re working with McDonald’s to determine what ingredient in the burgers was contaminated. The fast-food chain has halted use of fresh onions and quarter-pound beef patties in several states as a precaution.
At least 49 people in ten different states were sickened, and one person has died. The death was reported in Colorado, which has had 26 cases. One case has been reported in Kansas, with one case in Missouri and nine cases in Nebraska. Other cases were reported in Iowa, Montana, Oregon, Utah, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
