Today, we salute Lt. Cmdr Lindsay P. Evans and Lt. Serena M. Wileman. Described as trailblazers, Lindsay and Serena had a special bond in and out of the cockpit of the jet they flew. The two sailors were assigned to Electronic Attack Squadron 130, also known as the “Zappers.” They were decorated combat veterans who distinguished themselves during their squadron’s recent deployment to the Red Sea aboard the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower. In 2023, Lindsay was chosen to take part in an all-female Super Bowl flyover that the Navy used to commemorate 50 years of women flying in the Navy. Last week, an EA Growler jet crashed into the heavy wooded, rough terrain area of Mt. Ranier. Monday, the airmen in the crash were identified as Lindsay and Serena.
