The Sedgwick County Election Office has opened three in-person early voting centers with two weeks to go before the November 5th general election.   The three locations are open earlier than usual because of a high voter turnout that is expected for the election.

The locations opened Monday:

  • Sedgwick County Extension Office, 7001 W. 21st
    • Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. until Nov. 1, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26 and Nov. 2.
  • Reformation Lutheran Church, 7601 E. 13th
    • Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. until Nov. 1, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26 and Nov. 2.
  • Sedgwick County Election Office
    • Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. until Nov. 1, 8 a.m.-Noon on Nov. 4.

Election Commissioner Laura Rainwater said voters will now have more time and more locations available to cast a ballot in person and avoid long lines at the polls on Election Day.

There will be another 17 early voting centers that will open Tuesday, October 29th.  They will be open Tuesday through Friday, November 1st from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.  They will be open from 9 am. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 2nd.

Registered voters can also request an advance mail ballot.  Applications are available at the Election Office, by calling 316-660-7100, or by going to the Election Office web page at sedgwickcounty.org     Voters who want a ballot mailed to them will have to request it by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, October 29th.
