Today, the awesome comes from right here in Kansas. It is winter wheat planting season, and farmers have a very small, time-sensitive window to finish the planting. For the Volavka family, that window was tragically interrupted when they lost their wife and mother, Debbie, to a sudden heart attack. Described as the glue of the family, the community rallied to help the Volavka farm in its time of need. Planting efforts were organized, home-cooked meals were made, and drilling fields happened when they needed to. The Volavka farm is grateful for their great community and says they will pay it forward someday. Being a good neighbor in a time of need THAT’S AWESOME.
