Say it isn’t so, Drew!! If the Instagram is true, he just played his last Backyard Party. Granted, he did it for all the right reasons: it was his way of celebrating the success of “She’s Somebody’s Daughter” with the fans.
What an accomplishment that was! I mean, IT MADE COUNTRY MUSIC HISTORY!! It was so much fun to go along for the ride with him.

He and I were in it from the beginning because, as he said, I was the first one in country radio to reach out to him to have a conversation about the song. That’s when I learned just how down-to-earth and hardworking Drew is.
One of the things he did during the pandemic to keep his name out there, was to play virtual shows but also backyard concerts for lucky fans, and he did a bunch.

So, that’s how he chose to celebrate his success, close the book, and get ready for his next single “Tough People” which comes out on Friday the 25th
