For the seventh year, downtown Wichita will be hosting an event known as Open Streets ICT.

Traffic will be closed on Douglas from Delano to College Hill to allow for pedestrian and bicycle traffic, and there will be food vendors, live entertainment and special events.  The event will take place Sunday, October 13th from noon to 5 p.m.

People are asked to keep pets on a leash at the event, and water stations for dogs will be available along the route. Wichita Transit is offering free rides on the Q-Line trolley during Open Streets ICT on First and Second Streets from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. The shuttle will run from 2nd & Oliver to 2nd & Waco, then circle back up 1st Street to Oliver.

Traffic will be closed off beginning at 10 a.m. Sunday for more than four miles on Douglas Avenue from College Hill at Bluff Street to Glenn St. in the historic Delano District. Streets will reopen by 6 p.m.
