New Country 101 point 3 KFDI  is proud to present the World Premiere of Eric Church’s new song “Darkest Hour.”

Eric is releasing the song to help benefit those who have been affected by the devastation of Hurricane Helene.  Not only has he recorded the song, but he is signing over all his publishing royalties for “Darkest Hour” to his home state of North Carolina’s disaster relief fund.

Church, in a statement, said, “I owe everything to the state of North Carolina and wouldn’t be here without all the people that make it the greatest state in the country. When disaster hit, I was in the midst of recording, and a song we were working on took on new meaning. We are rushing this out in an effort to try to give back. I thought something that could provide relief immediately was vital, but I also wanted to figure out a way to continue providing resources to people of my state in anticipation of whatever is next and for long after I’m gone.”

In addition to his efforts in his home state, Church’s “Chief Cares” foundation will be assisting not only in North Carolina but in all states and communities affected from Appalachia to the Gulf.

The new song, Church’s first new release in over 3 years, is titled “Darkest Hour“ and is now available everywhere.

Chief Cares is sending money to the entire region affected by this devastating hurricane. Click here to donate, or visit your local outreach programs to learn how you can help.

Listen for “Darkest Hour” by Eric Church throughout the day on Friday and over the weekend on New Country 101 point 3 KFDI.
