The Kansas Bureau of Investigation said Tuesday that skeletal remains found in Wilson County have been identified, and an arrest has been made in the case.
The remains were found September 24th in a pasture near Neodesha, and investigators confirmed that the remains were human. They have now been identified as 39-year-old Levi Ellis of Neodesha.
KBI agents and Neodesha police identified a suspect and an arrest warrant was issued for first degree murder. On Tuesday, a 56-year-old Neodesha man was arrested by police at a hotel in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. The man was booked into the Tulsa County jail and Kansas officials will begin extradition procedures.
The KBI said the investigation is continuing.
