A Sedgwick County jury has returned guilty verdicts against a Wichita man for the kidnapping of a teenage girl two years ago.
The jury convicted 37-year-old David Roark for the December, 2022 kidnapping of a 14-year-old Arkansas girl. Police said Roark met the girl online and officers found her in a closet at a home in the North Riverside neighborhood.
Roark was found guilty of kidnapping, child abuse, aggravated indecent liberties with a child, and other counts. His sentencing was scheduled for November 18th.
