A teenager has withdrawn his no contest plea in a fatal shooting that killed another teen at a Wichita shopping mall.

During a hearing Monday in Sedgwick County District Court, 18-year-old Te’bryis Robinson withdrew pleas he made in July of no contest to charges of second degree murder, attempted second degree murder and aggravated battery.    Robinson was to be sentenced Monday but after he withdrew his pleas, another hearing will be scheduled.  His attorneys will be removed from the case and his defense now goes to the public defender’s office.

Robinson was charged in the March 18th, 2022 shooting death of 14-year-old Trenj’vious Hutton.  Police said the shooting happened during a fight that broke out on the lower level of Towne East Square.
