Dame Maggie Smith is dead at the age of 89. Her sons confirmed to BBC that she died at a hospital on Friday.
Smith is known for her role as Professor McGonagall in the “Harry Potter” franchise and her role in the TV series “Downton Abbey.” Smith won two Oscars and four Emmys during her career.
