The Kansas Bureau of Investigation is working with Neodeshea police and the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office after skeletal remains were found in a rural area.
Neodesha police found the remains Tuesday in a pasture near the 6500 block of Ottawa Road. KBI agents and a crime scene response team confirmed that the remains were human, and an autopsy was ordered. Positive identification may take some time because of the condition of the remains.
Anyone with information on the remains is urged to call the KBI at 1-800-KS-CRIME. Anonymous tips can also be submitted online at https://www.kbi.ks.gov/sar
