Officials with Wesley Healthcare in Wichita had a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house Tuesday for a new 41-bed in-patient rehabilitation center.
The Wesley Rehabilitation Center at 833 North Vassar is a $60 million, 58,000 square-foot hospital that will help meet the needs of patients who need intensive rehabilitation after a stroke, trauma, orthopedic or spinal injury or a related condition.
The building near Wesley Medical Center has 40 private suites and one semi-private suite. It also has an open-air courtyard with several textured surfaces, which will allow patients to develop balance and mobility on varying terrain, and a fully equipped gym that includes a simulated car for driving practice.
