U.S. Marshals have found a missing 6-year-old child in Augusta, and the mother has been taken into custody.

The child was reported missing from Las Vegas, Nevada, and the Nevada Attorney General’s office was looking to arrest the child’s mother, Natalie Black, for felony parental kidnapping of a minor.  An arrest warrant was issued for Black on May 26th.

The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force had received information that Black was in Augusta and it contacted the Kansas Fugitive Apprehension Task Force for assistance.  The Butler County Sheriff’s Office and the Kansas Highway Patrol Air Unit helped to arrest Black on Wednesday in the 100 block of East 7th in Augusta, and the child was found safe. Black was being held at the Butler County jail.
