Three people, including a stabbing suspect, were taken into custody after an 11-hour standoff in Kingman.
Officers were called to a home in the 400 block of East Avenue B around 2 p.m. Monday on a report of a stabbing. The suspect went into a home and refused to talk with police. The Kansas Highway Patrol was called to help and its SWAT team arrived at the home around 7 p.m. Officers went into the home around 1 a.m. and arrested the suspect, and they also arrested two other people who tried to interfere.
No other information was released, although reports indicated that a woman who had been stabbed in the original incident was taken to a Wichita hospital.
