Arkansas City officials said a cybersecurity issue happened at the city’s water treatment facility on Sunday.
A statement from the city on social media said precautionary measures were taken to make sure that plant operations were secure. City Manager Randy Frazier said the water supply is safe and there has been no disruption to service.
The water treatment facility switched to manual operations after the incident was reported. Cybersecurity experts and the city have stepped up security measures in order to protect the water supply.
