Four people are dead and at least 18 others injured after a mass shooting late Saturday night in a Birmingham, Alabama entertainment district.
Birmingham Police Chief Scott Thurmond said investigators believe the shooting was a “hit” and the targeted individual is among the deceased. At a news conference, Thurmond said police believe “someone was willing to pay money to have that person killed,” The chief added the number of shooters is still unclear and urged anyone with information to come forward.
