The man arrested for a crash that killed a law enforcement officer in March has made his first appearance in Sedgwick County Court. Scott Hollingsworth, 26, of Peck, had recently celebrated his first year with the Clearwater Police Department. He was driving home from work when he was struck by Gage Kaiser, 19, of Fort Riley. Kaiser was taken into custody on Wednesday; charged with involuntary manslaughter, driving under the influence and two counts of aggravated battery. Hollingsworth left behind a wife and young daughter. Kaiser is being held on a $200K bond in the Sedgwick County Jail.
