There was a heavier police presence at schools in Junction City on Monday after a threat was discovered on social media.
Junction City police and the Geary County Sheriff’s Office have been investigating a post made on Snapchat that featured the names of students and staff at Junction City Middle School. The Junction City Police Department has been working with Snapchat to identify the person who made the post.
More officers will be present this week at Junction City Middle School, Fort Riley Middle School, Junction City High School and the H.D. Karns Innovation Academy in USD 475.
