An unidentified man was in critical condition after a shooting incident in a northeast Wichita neighborhood.
The shooting was reported around 9:15 p.m. Friday in the 2100 block of North Erie. Police said a 40-year-old man had purchased items in a corner store and was leaving when another man walked in and fired shots. The victim was taken to a hospital with six gunshot wounds.
Police are still looking for the gunman, and anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 316-267-2111.
