A Wichita woman has been sentenced to prison for the death of her one-year-old son.

A sentence was handed down Wednesday for 36-year-old Wilma Presley, giving her 20-years in prison for distributing a controlled substance causing death, aggravated endangering a child, and other drug-related charges.

Emergency crews were called to a Walmart near Pawnee and Broadway last October after Presley reported that her son was unresponsive.   One-year-old Kaiden McCullough was pronounced dead at a hospital a short time later, and police said he died from the effects of fentanyl.

Kaiden’s father, 31-year-old Brijin McCullough, was convicted in July of second degree murder and three counts of child endangerment.  His sentencing was scheduled for Friday.
