Investigators are looking into the cause of a fire at a south Wichita motel.
The fire was reported around 1 a.m. Thursday at the Paradise Inn at 2020 South Broadway. Crews saw smoke and flames coming from one of the rooms at the motel. The fire was quickly brought under control and there were no injuries.
The Red Cross was called to the scene to help several people who had been evacuated.
Traffic was blocked for both directions on Broadway at Mt. Vernon while crews battled the fire.
