World Trade Center exhibit on display in Wichita

The Kansas Firefighters Museum and Memorial in Wichita will be hosting an exhibit from the September 11, 2001 attack on the World Trade Center.

The 9-11 World Trade Center Beams exhibit is from the Oaklawn Children’s Museum in Illinois.  The centerpiece of the exhibit is two beams from the Trade Center, and the themes of the exhibit focus on unity, friendship, helping and patriotism.

The Wichita Police and Fire Foundation is sponsoring the exhibit from September 7th through November 23rd, and it will be open to the public every Saturday for viewing.

The exhibit will arrive in Wichita on Saturday, September 7th and it will be escorted to the Epic Center where it will be present for the opening ceremony of the annual Wichita 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb on September 11th.
