Today, we salute Army Veteran Nick Miller and the non-profit Mustang Adoption Academy.  The academy is a place where wild horses go in an effort to be domesticated.  If they can’t be, they are slaughtered. It is also a place where Veterans like Nick go to work with the horses which in turn helps him work through his own trauma. Nick didn’t want to be around people and one particular horse named Whiskey didn’t want to be a part of a herd, and couldn’t be tamed, not even by professionals. However, one day for some reason, Whiskey and Nick took a walk across an open pasture, no lead, and the bond was made. Saving Whiskey from slaughter and Nick from his own troubles. Thank you Nick for helping Whiskey and THANK YOU for your service.
