Today, we salute 89-year-old Korean War Veteran Lester Luden. Lester served in the Army from 1954-1956 as an Engineer and later lost his leg in a farming accident. Decades after the accident Lester recently had a chance to do something he never thought possible, go surfing.  Thanks to the VA National Sports Clinic in San Diego he did just that. On the board, on his stomach he hit the waves. Lester said it was the thrill of a lifetime, and now wants to inspire other Veterans to try new things, even if they don’t seem possible. Thanks for being an example to others Lester and THANK YOU for your service.
