The Kansas Bureau of Investigation said the man who was killed in a crash in Harvey County last weekend has been identified as interim Peabody city clerk Jonathan Clayton.
His body was found in his pickup, which had crashed into a tree near the Highway 50 and I-135 interchange. The pickup was found Sunday, August 25th around 2:45 p.m. by a property owner.
The KBI said an autopsy was conducted but the final report is pending. Investigators have not found evidence of foul play, but they are continuing to look into the crash.
