P0lice have arrested a suspect in the death of a man whose body was found in the trunk of a car in west Wichita earlier this month.
A 23-year-old Wichita man has been booked into jail on a charge of first degree murder. He was arrested in the 1800 block of North Hillside and then booked into the Sedgwick County jail.
The man will be facing charges in the death of 39-year-old Kyce Barnes, who was found on August 21st in the trunk of a car in the 8400 block of West Irving, near Kellogg and Tyler Road. Police believe the shooting took place at a nearby motel.
Anyone with information who has not spoken with investigators is urged to call homicide detectives at 316-268-4407, or Crime Stoppers at 316-267-2111.
Information will be presented to the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office for consideration of charges.
