Today, we salute Marine Veteran Mike Kilano. Mike is a Veteran advocate and crisis coordinator for Paws of War, an organization that once helped him. After his service he struggled and was eventually diagnosed with PTSD. It was his service dog Nova, that he was matched with thanks to Paws of War, that helped him. Now Mike wants to help other Veterans and wants to raise awareness, and he’s doing it in his kayak. He plans to kayak 22 miles across Long Island Sound on Friday as part of the 22 PAC PTSD Awareness Challenge. Thank you for helping your fellow Veterans Mike and THANK YOU for your service.
