A court appearance was held Wednesday in Oklahoma for the five suspects charged in the murders of two southwest Kansas women.
A hearing was held in Texas County, Oklahoma for 31-year-old Paul Grice, 43-year-old Tad Cullum, 54-year-old Tifany Adams, 50-year-old Cole Twombly and 44-year-old Cora Twombly to consider consolidating their case and to set a preliminary trial date.
The suspects are charged with first-degree murder, kidnapping, and conspiracy to commit murder in the deaths of Veronica Butler and Jillian Kelley of Hugoton earlier this year. Investigators said the killings involved a custody dispute between Adams and Butler.
Attorneys will have until September 9th to submit arguments on whether the five suspects should be tried together. A tentative hearing date was scheduled for September 18th.
