Emergency crews were sent to a pond in a west Wichita neighborhood where someone was seen in the water.
The body of an unidentified man was recovered from the pond shortly after 9:30 a.m. Thursday near Taft and Stoney Point, which is southwest of the intersection of Maple and Maize Road.
The body was taken to the Medical Examiner’s Office for identification and an autopsy. Police are investigating.
