A Wichita man was killed in a crash after a domestic disturbance with shots fired in southeast Wichita.

Police said a car hit a tree near Lincoln and Woodlawn around 6:40 p.m. and the driver, 36-year-old Joshua Brooks, was pronounced dead at the scene.   It’s believed that he fired shots a short time earlier during a disturbance in the 6200 block of East Harry.

Police closed Woodlawn from Kellogg to Lincoln during the investigation.  They’re still looking into the circumstances that led to the crash.
