A Wichita Police Department bomb squad removed a suspicious device from a home in El Dorado on Saturday, and one person was arrested.
El Dorado officers were serving a warrant at a home near Park and Shelden, in the south part of the city, when they found the device. Streets were closed and residents were told to stay out of the area.
El Dorado and Wichita officers were on the scene along with agents of the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. The device was removed and an all clear was given to the neighborhood shortly after 9:30 p.m.
No other information has been released at this time.
